In a faraway land, in South Africa, there lived a orphan named Mary. She lived with her grandmother in an old stone house. Near the old stone house, there was a dilapidated castle. In ancient days, it was believed that the castle was ruled by the most evil and unpopular king in that country.
Mary was everyday bored to death. Her grandmother was very kind, but she always said that her grandmother was the most boring grandmother anyone could have. She gets bored easily, and poor, poor grandmother didn't know what to do about it.
One sunny day, Mary thought of visiting dilapidated castle. It seemed interesting to explore. She packed herself a small picnic and began her small journey to the dilapidated house. It was actually on the top of a very small hill. It's ceiloceiling was fallen to bits and up the towers the birds lay eggs. There also lived a cat as black as coal.
In ancient days, people said that there was a enormous treasure chest hidden in the dungeons. Mary had planned to check out the dungeons too. But first, she went to explore the upper part of the castle. There was only 1 room in good condition. Mary went to the window and looked out. The sky was now getting dark.
The view from the window was magnificent. Mary looked up the sky. Raindrops were already pouring down. Mary went to the dungeons after that. She meant to hurry up before it started raining heavily. If she found the treasure chest, she would come and take it tomorrow with 4 strong men.
As she reached to the dark dungeons, it started raining cats and dogs. Mary knew that there was no chance of going back home before the rain stops. She explored the dungoen carefully, but to her dissapointment, she found no treasure. She touched the back of the dungeons. Suddenly, she noticed that the back of the dungeon was very soft at one part.
When she looked closely, she found a door-handle like thing hidden away. Curiously, she pulled down the handle and at once, the soft part of the wall slid back, and there was the treasure chest! It filled the little cave it was in.
There was even the key fallen to the floor. Mary searched for the lock and finally found a big golden lock. Impatiently, she turned the key and suprise! There were gold coins, brooches, necklaces, bracelets, cups and other golden things. All GOLDEN!!! There were even shiny diamonds. A person could make a huge fortune by just selling it!
As soon as the rain stopped, Mary went to her granmother. She listened carefully. After Mary had finished, she immediately called the police. In no time, four strong men were bringing the treasure chest to Mary's house. Mary's reward for finding the long-lost treasure

~Dream On and Never Give Up~
Short Introduction of Maria Johnson
Maria Johnson was an 7 year old orphan who had a big dream of becoming a history teacher. People often tease her saying she will never achieve her dream. They said she need good education. But, that didn't stop Maria from dreaming and never giving up. Here is the story of Maria's dream. Hope you get a moral from this story :)
Story of Maria Johnson.
One sunny day, Maria was sitting alone under a tree. She had no friend (s). She was lonely every single day. Maria was very sad and thought that she was just rubbish compared to other girls.
After 13 years, Maria grew up to be an ugly, young lady. One cold December afternoon, Maria noticed a newly built, beautiful house not far off from the little hole-like place Maria lived in. Well, you might be surprised how Maria survived in a hole for 13 WHOLE YEARS! Maria lived on water from the well nearby and she got some food from an old lady (She did not take notice of the girls at times which is not a meal-time)
Well, about this house.. The house was in pink and purple colour. The gate was pink, window pannels were purple, walls were pinkish-purple and the door was flouroscent pink.
After 2 days, she went to discover the house a bit. As she went, stones were thrown at her by the naughty boys living nearby, and dirty words were said from the naughty girls.
When she reached the house, a beautiful young lady came out of the house. Maria stared at the pretty lady in awe, that was when the lady noticed Maria.
She signed Maria to come to her. Maria slowly went to her. The lady asked "What is your name? You look like an orphan!" Maria replied "Well, I am actually an orphan. My name is Maria Johnson. My parents died when I was 3 and half. Since then, nobody took notice of me except an old lady who only took notice of me at meal times. That is when she gives me some food to eat. I drink water from the well nearby. I have no friends. I have the dream of becoming a history teacher and I will never give up on my dream. Sad thing is I need education for that.. People tease me for that." Tears came to Maria's eyes as she narrated the whole story to the interested young lady.
"Oh, well, dear I can help you. My name is Finhala De Cremse. You can call me Fin. I am from England though my name is not an English name. I am good at hirstory, I could teach you!" Fin said. "C..c...c....could you r..r..r..really help in history?" Maria asked her eyes shining for the first time in 14 years! Fin said she can and moreover, she can also help Maria turn into a beautiful lady like she was.
So, Maria started living in Fin's house and it completely changed her dull old life to a bright, new and amazing life! She soon became a new history teacher. The students liked her and she worked hard for the students. Finhala was also a teacher, but a Science teacher. She and Maria worked in the same school and they both worked togehter to make the school.
Maria's life changed and she achieved her goal; if she gave up before, she could not have achieved her goal but she did not give up and the result... was AMAZING! So, never give up, kids!!
